Teak Coffee Tables

Our teak coffee tables are the perfect perch for your drink, newspaper, speaker, lighting or other paraphernalia that adds to the enjoyment of your outside space. From large coffee tables to complement outdoor sofa suites, to small coffee tables perfect for two to enjoy the morning sun on a terrace, there are a range of sizes and styles to suit all occasions and locations.

Garden Coffee Tables in Solid Teak

The right coffee table complements any space, and can also be the perfect finishing touch to your lounge set. All of our designs are built in Grade A heartwood teak, available in round, square, and rectangular tops, designed to pair with our lounge ranges or to act as a standalone or complementary feature to the rest of your furniture.

Our own team delivers every piece fully assembled, so there are no flat-pack boxes and no fixings to tighten. Simply choose where it goes. Behind that convenience is furniture made properly: the very finest heartwood teak, kiln dried to 10–15% moisture for the UK, joined with dowelled and bonded mortice and tenon joints. It's built to stay outside, year round, for decades.

Choosing the Right Height

A coffee table should sit level with the seat height of the sofa or chair beside it, or a little below, since too high gets in the way of your knees and too low means reaching down for a drink.

Our coffee tables vary in height, so whether you’re pairing with a specific lounge set, or complementing ordinary chairs, you’ll find the right piece for you. If you’re matching to seating you already own, measure your seat height and call us before ordering.

Shapes and Sizes

Round, square, and rectangular tops are available across the range, in multiple sizes for most designs. Some, such as the Buckingham square, include a lower shelf, which is useful for magazines and trays without cluttering the top.

At the compact end, our folding design has a 41 x 32cm top and folds down to roughly 93 x 32 x 5cm, so it stores almost flat. It sits on two wide legs rather than four corner legs, which gives it noticeably better stability on grass or softer ground, and it doubles as a stool when you need another seat.

Pairing With Our Lounge Collections

Coffee tables are available within the Ascot, Buckingham and Windsor ranges, or separately if you are adding to seating you already have. Browse the teak garden sofas and teak outdoor lounge furniture ranges to see how they sit together, or The Ascot Teak Collection for a full suite.

Indoors and Outdoors

Teak handles a glazed room as well as it handles the weather, which is why these tables work in a conservatory, orangery, or garden room as much as on a terrace. Sheltered from rain, teak also holds its golden colour for considerably longer than it does outdoors.

Teak also naturally regulates temperature, so unlike metal, it stays comfortable to the touch in strong sun, which matters on a table where people rest their drinks and hands.

Living With a Teak Coffee Table

No oil, no sealant, no varnish. Left outside, the timber weathers to an even silver-grey, which is a surface change only. Mild soapy water and a soft brush once or twice a year is all it needs, and our teak care guide covers the detail.

Garden Coffee Table: FAQs

How high should a garden coffee table be?

A garden coffee table should sit level with the seat height of the adjacent sofa or chair, or slightly below it. Pairing within one of our collections means the proportions already match.

Can a teak coffee table be left outside all year?

Yes. Grade A heartwood teak needs no cover, no storage, and no treatment through a British winter, and ours is held to a tighter quality standard than the loosely applied 'Grade A' label typically guarantees. It will weather to a silver-grey patina, which affects only the surface, not the timber's strength.

Do your coffee tables come as part of a set?

They can be bought within the Ascot, Buckingham and Windsor ranges or entirely separately. Nothing is only available as part of a set.

Can I use a teak coffee table in a conservatory?

Yes, and teak suits a glazed room particularly well. Sheltered from rain, it keeps its golden tone far longer than it would outdoors, and it copes with the humidity and temperature swings a conservatory produces.

Is there a folding coffee table?

Yes. Our folding design has a 41 x 32cm top and folds to roughly 93 x 32 x 5cm for storage. It stands on two wide legs for stability on soft ground and doubles as a stool.

Are coffee tables delivered assembled?

Yes. Every table is delivered fully assembled by our own team and positioned where you want it. Delivery is free on orders over £250 to UK mainland postcodes.
