A tree bench is a seat built in curved segments that fits around a tree, a shrub, or a curved edge of the garden, turning a favourite tree into a natural gathering point. Ours come as a quarter circle, a half (or semi-circular seat), or a full wraparound circle, each with a solid curved frame in carefully selected Grade A heartwood teak, the densest and most oil-rich part of the tree.

Quarter, Half, or Full Circle Options
The choice depends on the trunk or space you are fitting around, the clearance you want, and how many people you want to seat. Every design has a seat height of 45cm, a seat depth of 48cm, and an overall height of 93cm.
Circular Teak Tree Bench
The Circular Teak Tree Bench encircles the tree, providing generous wraparound seating. It comes in eight standard sizes, from a 65cm internal diameter (180cm overall) to a 225cm internal diameter (335cm overall), and is typically supplied in four ready-assembled segments (six for the larger sizes), which bolt together. Made-to-measure sizing is available.
Semi-Circular Teak Bench
The Semi-Circular Teak Bench, also called a half tree bench, frames a specimen tree or shrub, or sits against a wall or fence. It comes in six sizes from 65cm to 165cm and is supplied in two ready-assembled segments that bolt together.
Quarter Circle Teak Corner Bench
The Quarter Circle Teak Corner Bench is one segment of our smaller circular tree benches, designed to sit into a garden corner or against a curved edge. It is supplied fully assembled, and two can be placed together to form a semi-circle.
Measuring Around Your Tree
To choose the right internal diameter, measure the circumference of your tree at its widest point, usually the base, and divide it by 3.14 to get the diameter. Compare the result with the internal diameter of the size you are considering, and check the overall diameter too, so the bench fits the space around it.

Our tree benches suit gardens, courtyards, schools, and landscaped spaces, and make a centrepiece beneath trees in parks and other public spaces. Please be mindful that our 10-year guarantee does not cover commercial or public use.
Chic Teak uses only carefully selected Grade A heartwood from mature trees: close-grained and free from knots, sapwood, and blemishes. We use no stains or colouring treatments to disguise its natural appearance. Grading standards vary among suppliers, so some timber sold as Grade A elsewhere still carries knots, splits, and other imperfections.
We buy to a stricter standard, set with suppliers we have worked with for over 20 years.
Good-quality heartwood teak needs no oil or treatment. All teak weathers to a silvery grey patina.

Delivery and Positioning
The benches are delivered to your chosen position in ready-assembled segments, which bolt together. They are solid and should not be confused with flat-packed alternatives. If you want to secure a bench to concrete, grass, or soil, optional fixing kits are available.
