Fixed Teak Garden Tables

Teak Fixed Dining Tables

Our teak dining tables are made from Grade A heartwood teak and delivered fully assembled for a settled finish outdoors. Choose your table, then build your pairing with our range of chairs, or let our team recommend a pairing that suits your space. Backed by our 10 Year Guarantee.

Picking the right dining table starts with two decisions: how many people you want to seat, and the scale of setting you're creating. In a larger garden, the challenge is rarely finding room. It's choosing a table with the presence to hold its own on a wide terrace or open lawn. Every table is built from Grade A heartwood teak and available in fixed, folding and extending designs that can seat anything from a quiet family supper to a full summer party. Once you've settled on the shape, our teak garden chairs can be paired freely to complete the setting.

Strength comes from how a piece is put together as well as what it's made from. Ours uses traditional mortice and tenon joints, dowelled and bonded for lasting rigidity. That construction is paired with Grade A heartwood teak, the densest part of the tree, and kiln dried for the UK climate, so the joints stay tight for decades. It's delivered fully assembled by our own team, with nothing to build and nothing to tighten.

Sizing Your Teak Dining Table

With space to work with, the common mistake is going too small. A table that looks generous indoors can feel lost against a big terrace or a long garden view. Size for the gatherings you host as well as the everyday, and think about proportion: a long rectangular table suits a broad terrace, while a large round table makes a natural centrepiece in an open setting. If your numbers vary through the year, an extending table gives you an everyday size and a hosting size in one piece.

Allow roughly 90cm of clear space behind each chair so people can get in and out without moving the table. On a terrace with a wall or a planter behind, that clearance matters more than the table's dimensions.

Design Sizes available Seats
Round, four legs Two sizes 8 to 12
Round pedestal Eight sizes 2 to 12
Rectangular fixed 80 x 140cm up to 130 x 350cm 4 to 16
Rectangular extending Two designs Up to 14
Folding Six designs 2 to 6

All tables stand 76cm high, and the two largest sizes are strengthened underneath for stability outdoors.

Shapes to Suit Your Space

Round tables suit conversation and smaller spaces. Rectangular tables provide more surface area for the same footprint, and oval ones soften the look while keeping the length.

Two designs are worth knowing about. The pedestal round table has a central core and four swept, curved legs with splayed feet, so nobody sits over a leg. The deluxe rectangular extending table, meanwhile, sits between an oval and a rectangle, with gently smoothed corners, introduced for guests who kept ending up perched on one.

Parasols and Shade

Most of our dining tables are available with or without a brass parasol hole. If you choose the hole, you may need a parasol base, but if you'd rather not have a hole in the table, a cantilever parasol works instead.

Our deluxe extending tables include a parasol hole and a brass bung, and because of the central lower cross bar, they don't need a separate base.

Mix and Match with Our Chairs

We do not sell tables and chairs as fixed sets. Choose any table and any chair, so the arrangement suits your garden rather than a manufacturer's packing list.

The Winchester chair is unique to Chic Teak and is worth sitting in. It has a distinctive one-piece, thick, curved crest rail with expertly shaped back and seat slats, making it far more comfortable than it looks.

Teak Dining Table: FAQs

What size garden dining table seats eight?

For eight diners at a rectangular table, you're generally looking at a length of around 200cm or more, and our round pedestal and four-leg designs also reach eight and above. Allow roughly 90cm of clear space behind each chair, in addition to the table dimensions.

How many people can your largest teak dining table seat?

Sixteen. Our fixed rectangular tables range up to 130 x 350cm, and the two largest sizes are strengthened underneath for stability outdoors. Our extending tables reach fourteen.

Is an extending garden table worth it?

It is worth it if your numbers genuinely change through the year. The extension leaves store inside the table so there is nothing to find room for elsewhere, and the tops slide on a non-corrosive metal runner rather than a mechanism that seizes outdoors.

Can I buy the table and chairs separately?

Yes, and we would encourage it. Any of our tables can be matched with any of our dining chairs and carvers, so you are not tied to a fixed set.

Do your dining tables come with a parasol hole?

Most are available with or without one. A table with a hole needs a parasol base, unless it is a pedestal or extending design, where the central support does the job. A table without a hole can be used with a cantilever parasol.

Are the tables delivered assembled?

Yes. Every table arrives fully assembled and is positioned where you want it by our own team. On fixed and extending designs, the legs detach if access is difficult. Delivery is free on orders over £250 to UK mainland postcodes.
