Dorchester Teak Garden Carver Chair

Our Dorchester Teak Garden Carver Chair is a high-backed teak carver chair with a more relaxed shape, designed for outdoor dining settings that need comfort as well as presence. The curved crest rail, gently shaped slatted back and supportive slatted seat give it a familiar, well-balanced shape, while the slightly splayed arms create a more relaxed sitting position at the table.

Around larger teak dining tables, the Dorchester gives the setting a generous, settled feel without looking heavy. Use them at either end of a table, or around the full setting where a more substantial dining chair is preferred.

Made from Grade A heartwood teak and professionally kiln-dried for stability outdoors, the Dorchester brings the material quality expected from luxury teak garden furniture to a high-backed chair with a more relaxed sitting position.

Traditional mortice and tenon joinery supports long-term strength, while the chair is supplied fully assembled, so it arrives ready to place and use.

Teak care and outdoor living

Teak can be left outside all year round and will weather naturally over time. Teak’s natural oils help it resist weather, mould and mildew.

Cushion note

Teak contains natural oils and tannins. Occasionally, a small amount of oil residue may be visible on the underside of cushions where they sit against the wood. This does not affect cushion quality or longevity.
