Gloucester Teak Bench

The Gloucester Teak Bench is a distinctive curved teak garden bench, often referred to as a banana bench or peanut bench. Its sweeping shape, extra-thick 12cm rolled crest rail and slatted back give it a classic presence, while the flat seat keeps it practical for everyday outdoor seating.

At 170cm, it offers generous three-seater garden seating and a grounded feel once positioned, making it well suited to patios, terraces and garden corners. It looks particularly elegant when placed as a feature piece, and it also pairs beautifully with the matching Gloucester Chair, Companion Seat and Coffee Table to create a coordinated teak garden furniture set.

Materials and construction

Made from Grade A heartwood teak, chosen for its natural durability outdoors. The Gloucester is precision made using traditional mortice and tenon joinery, with dowels and adhesive throughout for strength and stability. Chamfered legs and discreet protective ferrules help reduce noise and protect surfaces when placed on wood or concrete.

Cushion note

Teak contains natural oils and tannins. Occasionally, a small amount of oil residue may be visible on the underside of cushions where they sit against the wood. This does not affect cushion quality or longevity.
