Hereford Teak Garden Bench

A beautifully proportioned teak garden bench with a shaped crest rail, curved slatted back and a sculpted seat for lasting comfort. The Hereford has a classic silhouette that sits naturally in a garden setting, while the curved seat and supportive back make it a comfortable choice for patios, terraces and pathways.

It is also well suited as a memorial bench or for commemorative spaces, with the option of a hand-carved inscription or a deep engraved solid brass plaque. Because of the decorative curve of the crest rail, longer inscriptions are often better suited to a plaque. If you prefer a straight crest rail to accommodate more lettering, our Salisbury Teak Bench may be a better fit.

For a softer finish, the bench can be paired with a bespoke one-piece seat cushion. If you would like to secure the bench in place, a fixing kit is available, with options for soft ground such as lawn or shingle, and hard surfaces such as patio slabs or concrete.

Materials and construction

Made from Grade A heartwood teak, chosen for its natural resilience outdoors. The Hereford is precision made for fit, using traditional mortice and tenon joinery, dowels, corner blocks and adhesive for strength and stability. Chamfered legs and protective ferrules help reduce noise and protect surfaces when placed on wood or concrete.

Cushion note

Teak contains natural oils and tannins. Occasionally, a small amount of oil residue may be visible on the underside of cushions where they sit against the wood. This does not affect cushion quality or longevity.
